Rear Guard by Landon Dixon

This is a collection of explicit man-on-man action – graphic language and imagery. They’re well-written, no holds barred, short stories that will entertain and arouse. If you’re looking for romance and character development, then these tales are not for you.

Rear Guard

Everyone had a good laugh when they handed him the ‘shit’ job – guarding the washrooms of the largest city park against unauthorized penal and anal activity. But ‘shit’ patrol was just what this security guard was trained for; and he didn’t disappoint.

Dick Work

Hershbeck is tasked the dirty job of investigating a sex toy theft. And things only get dirtier, when first the detective demands a demonstration of some of the leftovers, then takes the case, and another man’s case, into a nearby alley for an intimate interrogation.

Hazard Pay-off

“Hazard” was an accident waiting to happen, a one-man workplace safety and health risk. Sometimes, though, the worst goof-up can yield the best pay-off.

Cab Fare

You can’t always judge a man by where you pick him up.

The Pantyhose Bandit

There was a bandit loose in the neighbourhood, breaking into people’s homes and sniffing, fondling, and dressing up in women’s lingerie and high heels. Not everyone was frightened, though. In fact, one man resolved to do something to catch the culprit. To protect the neighborhood, yes; to get himself a piece of the perverted perp, damn straight!

Heavies

They were two hockey tough guys, one young and up and coming, the other older, a down and outer trying to make it back up. They shared hate, a passion for their profession, and so much more.

** Ring of Lies ** by Rachel Lynne

Happy Release Day to my friend Rachel Lynne. I've been lucky enough to share some of Rachel's journey as she got RING OF LIES ready for publication and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to say Congrats! on the official release day.

Rachel was kind enough to share an excerpt today. Enjoy!!

****
A café owner and an ex-cop must unravel the mystery surrounding a hot blue diamond in order to stop a cold blooded killer.

After a childhood lived on the road with a free-spirited aunt, all café owner Ivy Michaels wants is a normal and uneventful life, but when her aunt is found floating in the Savannah River, Ivy inherits an heirloom blue diamond and a killer bent on keeping the past buried.

Dom Riordan is an ex-cop obsessed with finding his mother's killer. A chance meeting, and a glimpse of evidence he's been seeking, convinces him that Ivy Michaels is the key to solving the crime. Dom devises a plan to date Ivy and ferret out the truth but he didn't count on losing his heart. As a ruthless killer closes in on Ivy, Dom will risk everything to keep her safe.

****
 Spicy Excerpt:

“I’m so sorry to keep you waiting. I’m Ivy Michaels …”

The air rushed from his lungs as if he’d been sucker punched. His heart raced and he gasped for breath as he stared, transfixed by the large blue diamond glittering on her finger.

“Mr. Riordan? Are you okay?” Her eyes were wide and filled with concern. He’d been right, he noted absently, her eyes were blue; as vivid a blue as the damn ring on her finger.

He met her eyes and nodded while his mind raced. He needed a moment alone. He needed time to think, to get control and figure out what the hell was going on. “Could I,” he cleared his throat and tried again. “Could I get a glass of water?”

“Of course! I’ll be right back!” She ran across the room and disappeared through the swinging kitchen door.

He took a deep breath and struggled to control the violent emotions roaring through him. He’d know that ring anywhere. It was etched into his memory, burned into his retinas. The damn thing even haunted his dreams. He’d searched for it; spent the better part of his two years as a detective trying to find even a hint of its whereabouts and now, the thing just turned up, out of the blue and on the finger of James Brogan’s mistress. It couldn’t be a coincidence. Dominic Riordan was nobody’s fool and he didn’t believe in coincidence, fate, or dumb luck.

For spine tingling suspense and heart pounding passion, pick up a copy of RING OF LIES, part of the Jewel of the Night Series. Available at The Wild Rose Press:

** DM2010 ** by Cooper McKenzie

I love a sexy romance where the geek gets the guy - or in this case the girl. DM2010 by Cooper McKenzie did not disappoint. If you like exceptionally written sex scenes with a very unique take on a sex toy, you will love this book.

The characters are well-written, including an excellent supporting cast. The passion between the hero and heroine is tangible and they get busy immediately. But you just know conflict lies ahead. Will they get their happy ending? You gotta read this one!

[Siren Classic: Erotic Contemporary Romance, sex toys]

Natalie Sanders needs money to finish her master’s degree and start her life. Reading a help wanted ad in the college paper for a “female tester for new computer device,” she thought it sounded interesting.

Kelso Montgomery needs an assistant to test DM2010--the new dildo-mouse he’s developed--since his mother refuses to test the new device. As soon as he sees Natalie, he knows she’s the one he wants.

When a rival approaches Natalie offering money for information, she has to decide if her loyalties will remain with Kelso or her future. Will she betray Kelso’s trust? Will Kelso be able to fix the defect in his pet project? Will they ever be able to be together without someone interrupting them?

Subtext: A Modern Day Tale Of Female Submission

Subtext: A Modern Day Tale Of Female Submission by Kate Marley

The last few books I’ve read have been MM erotic romance. This week I changed up the pace and read a story of female submission. It’s well-written erotica. The author has a great voice, making it an engaging 4 star read for me.

The narrator is an educated woman with a good job. It was during her time in college that she started to explore her interest in BDSM. She describes her journey from first experience, a spanking, to being collared.

Kate doesn’t pull any punches. The sex scenes are hot and very explicit and involve a variety of toys. If you’ve ever wondered about the life of a submissive and why a woman would want to be dominated sexually, SUBTEXT will give you that insight. But if verbal humiliation and pain make you squirm, and not in a good way, then this book isn’t for you.

Synopsis:

Kate is a submissive.

In this candid account she explains exactly what that means and what exactly an independent, 21st Century woman gets out of relinquishing her power and personal freedom to a dominant man for their mutual pleasure. From the endorphin rush of her first spanking right through to being collared, Kate explains in frank and explicit fashion the road she travels as she reconciles her sexual needs with the rest of her life. She'd call it her journey if, in the current climate, that didn't make her sound like a reality TV reject. Suffice to say, if you've ever wondered how, when and why a woman would beg someone to cane her until she comes - or if that's even possible - then this is the book for you. And if you haven't, well this book will give you an insight into the deep end of a dating pool you never knew existed.

Daring, controversial, but always fun and astoundingly honest, Subtext will be a book no reader can put down.

Kate Marley is in her early 30s. She is working hard at a career she loves, surrounded by friends, amused and exasperated by her family in about equal measure. Loves animals and Marmite, hates people who stop abruptly when walking down the street so you walk into them, and spends too much money on books, DVDs and handbags, mostly in that order. The one thing missing in her life is someone to share it ... and the fact she wants that someone to dominate her sexually, as well as helping sort the recycling.

Chemistry by Lewis DeSimone

Chemistry by Lewis DeSimone is the book I chose for my partner in the October Goodreads MM Pick-it-for-Me Challenge. I discovered it by accident. I was reading another book and one of the characters in that story was reading Chemistry. Of course I had to know more about it. I looked it up on Amazon and ended up downloading it for my Kindle. It literally blew me away.

It’s hard to believe this is the author’s first book. It’s a beautifully written, intense story that addresses some complex subjects - attraction, love, mental illness and codependence. The characters were so real to me that I thought about them long after I finished reading. I hope to see more from this talented author.

****
Neal has a frustrating relationship with a bisexual man and he moves from Boston to San Francisco. Martin, the brother of a friend, shows him around and takes him dancing. It’s there he meets the good-looking and out-going Zach. The attraction is mutual and a relationship develops. But Zach has mood swings that get progressively worse. Neal is supportive but it soon becomes apparent that Zach’s deep-seated problems may drag him down.

Brothers Without Borders by Leiland Dale

I was anxious to read BROTHERS WITHOUT BORDERS because the storyline is one I haven’t seen before. The author tackles the taboo subject of an incestuous relationship between brothers - and he does it in a sensitive and romantic manner. Although the story is short, enough back history is supplied to set the scene and the characters are well-developed. The angst, guilt and secret longing make the men sympathetic and the sexy scenarios steamed up my Kindle. I loved the story and didn’t want it to end. I understand there’s a sequel and it’s definitely on my to be read list.

****

For Avery Grey, life wasn't easy. He was smaller than most guys and nerdy, a real prize winner. And, as if this wasn't enough, he was gay and in love with the one person he knew it was wrong to desire. Rather than deal with the heartbreak, he chose to dedicate himself to medical school.

Hunter Grey, the tough guy athlete tried to focus on everything other than the one person who caused the ache inside his heart. For years, he had managed to keep his secret locked up inside him. Although some of his teammates didn't know he was gay, this was the least of his worries. His biggest secret haunted him and had him waking up in the middle of the night soaked to the bone in sweat. The guilt and disgust within him tore him apart each day.

When secrets are exposed, how will an unconventional love between brothers change the lives of these two men? Can their bond and love for each other survive and flourish, or will it ultimately rip them apart?
